Barbados Climate on Normal Days
by: Althea

Hi Bella,

Thank you so much for visiting the site!

So you'd like to know what the climate is like on normal days. Well, that depends on what time during the year you visit.

It can rain in Barbados at any time during the year. If it's during the official hurricane season (June 1-November 15), there is a good chance that you'll experience heavier rain, especially during the months of September and October.

However, it never rains for days on end, and I hope this brings you some relief. Typically, the island experiences intermittent showers that last anywhere from 2 minutes to 15 minutes (and that's a long time!), but nothing to stall or keep you house-bound.

It was July 2016. As I headed out to the beach to take some shots, I glanced up at the sky and noticed it was pitch black. This was heavy rain coming my way. Should I wait it out or should I go?

I decided to wait it out.

Before long, the rain came pelting down, and before you could say "gimme a flying fish sandwich", it was all over. The sun came out again in a matter of minutes, and the only trace of the downpour was the wet road leading down to the beach. And this was during hurricane season!

Hope this helps...
