The highlight of one of my Barbados Reacquaint Tours was a visit to the beautiful and historic Crane resort, one of the most popular Caribbean luxury resorts and one of Barbados’ luxury hotels.
I was pleasantly surprised. The Crane Barbados bore no resemblance to its former self. It was absolutely beautiful.

This Barbados luxury hotel is located on the Southeast coast, about 7 minutes from the Barbados Airport and 25 minutes from Bridgetown, Barbados.
Nestled on a hilltop on 40 acres of lush tropical vegetation, this timeshare property has undergone tremendous upgrades, and it is far from over.
Built in the late 1700’s, the resort’s architecture merges old world charm with new. With 232 rooms and an additional 25 rooms being built on the premises, plans are already underway for the construction of a sister hotel, Beach Houses Culpepper, just minutes away.
Beach Houses Culpepper is further northeast opposite Culpepper Island, and will feature contemporary, eco-friendly residences of 38 three-bedrooms and 28 two bedrooms, and an additional 29 units.
These detached units will offer lots of privacy and will also offer a lock-off feature allowing easy room conversion (2 bedrooms can be converted to 2 separate units and 3 bedrooms can be converted to a 2-bedroom and a single bedroom unit).

The world-famous Crane Beach Barbados is one of the best Caribbean beaches and is located right at the resort. It has been aptly described as “one of the 10 best beaches in the world” by Lifestyles of the Rich and Famous and has received numerous other accolades.
The Resort is suitable for:
It gets hot in Barbados, and between the heat and an invigorating swim, you will probably notice that your hearty appetite has taken a break. Here are two great places to get light meals at the Crane Hotel - The Carriage House Bar and Grill and The Grove Bar and Grill, both poolside.
The 1887 cocktail bar is the perfect place to get a refreshing cooler after arriving from a long flight, or just to meet up with friends for an evening cocktail.
With so many amenities in an ultra-relaxed atmosphere, you’ll probably think twice about venturing outside of the Crane Hotel Barbados.
Accommodations at the Crane Resort Barbados resort are categorized as:
A tour of a one-bedroom ocean-view suite brought me to a large, comfortable, spacious, and very tastefully decorated unit. Cool ocean breezes filtered through the room and the Jacuzzi tucked away on the balcony just could not be ignored. Delightful!
A modern, fully-equipped kitchen and beautifully, appointed furnishings were present. It was hard to pick a favorite feature but one of my favorites was the bathroom. Absolutely to-die-for!
Beautiful tropical gardens accompany the park residences, which range in size from 740 square feet to 1,400 square feet. The 1-bedroom standard and deluxe penthouses feature a roof-top pool park. The 2-bedroom ground floor garden rooms feature a waterfall pool and outdoor deck for dining.
My tour of a one-bedroom, ocean-view suite at the Crane Barbados brought me face to face with a large, spacious and very tastefully decorated unit.
The kitchen was the first thing that came into view. It was modern, fully-equipped and small, yet not claustrophobic. The unit’s open floor plan and large windows fully compensated for this, and one glance around the roomy unit made the size of the kitchen seem trivial.
There were two access points to the balcony through the living room and the master bedroom. I was losing myself in the view. Peaceful thoughts of waking up to a beautiful warm sunrise and the soft scent of the salty ocean air flooded my mind.
The master bedroom was comfortable and spacious, and led to a large ensuite bathroom with double vanity and separate toilet room.
Just when I thought things couldn’t get any better, I caught sight of something blue in my peripherals. It was the balcony jacuzzi that just couldn’t be ignored.
I was in for yet another treat. I was just in time to observe a couple getting married on Crane Beach Barbados. It was a beautiful, clear, sunny day. The foamy turquoise waves were sweeping towards the shore with gusto. What a beautiful scene! It was a picture-perfect day for a beach wedding.
The Crane Resort is a popular spot for nuptials. With the Atlantic Ocean as the backdrop and beautiful manicured grounds at every turn, it’s easy to see why this one’s a winner. There’s no shortage of romance here. Wedding and honeymoon packages are readily available, so there’s no excuse if you’re considering a destination wedding.
The business traveler is also fully serviced with four function suites in the Town Hall which can accommodate up to 220 people for meetings and events. A full-service concierge desk facilitates your activities planning, car rental service, etc.
Why not visit the property and see for yourself? You will not be disappointed.
