Experience the Best Caribbean Vacation Ever

Imagine some of the best beaches in the world, great weather and accommodations to fit every style and budget.

A Barbados vacation will surpass any Caribbean vacation experience you've ever had. The island is undoubtedly ALL things to all people.

If romance is what you’re looking for, you’ll find it in Barbados. For the adventurer or nature lover, there’s something for you too. For the sports enthusiast, you’re in for a treat. All you’ll ever need for the perfect vacation experience is in Barbados.

My name is AIthea, and I will be your guide to all things “Barbados”, helping you to plan your best vacation ever!

I was born and raised in Barbados, and at this point, you’re probably wondering what it is like living on a tropical island.

There is no sense of urgency and time stands still in Barbados.   Anxiety and stress are non-existent, and your life is enriched by the cultivation of human relations and the simplicities of tropical living.

I remember swimming in the ocean with the turtles and watching the boys play beach cricket at sunset.

I remember watching the monkeys steal our mangos, which by the way, were meticulously camouflaged with brightly colored plastic bags, or so we thought.  They would gently untie the bags, eat the fruit and leave their souvenirs behind – bags, fruit waste, and poop, as we incredulously looked on with gaping mouths.

I remember picking fresh vegetables with my uncle in the country early on Sunday mornings.

Good memories.

The memories you will create from your Barbados trip will probably be different from mine, and that is where this insider guide comes in.

The Barbados Island Bliss insider guide will provide you with information to help you get the best out of your Barbados vacation, from finding cheap airfares and how to get there to the best months to go.  Visit the weather pages for month-to-month details and find out the best time to go to Barbados and why you should not be too concerned about hurricanes in Barbados.

Check out some of the best accommodations for your perfect Barbados vacation, from beautiful villas to cheap hotels that won’t make you break the bank or your wallet.

As a people, we love to talk about our island and share it with visitors.  Want to hang out with us, or "lime" as we say in Barbados? Click on "local flava" below.

Why Barbados?

I thought you’d never ask..

The first president of the United States, George Washington, visited Barbados with his older brother in 1751 for 6 weeks. It was the only trip he took outside of his homeland.
